The RF remote-controlled technology means the usage of specific radio frequencies to transmit a signal to a receiving device.

The IR and RF remote controllers come with their own set of features the applications. Here are the primary difference between IR and RF remotes:

IR Remote Control:

• The IR signals require a direct line of sight when transferring. It doesn’t work when obstacles blocking.

RF Remote Control:

• RF remotes work with longer distances.

IR Remote Control:

• The range of IR remote controller is shorter.

• The IR remote control requires the clear line of sight to function.

RF Remote Control:

• The RF remote controller enjoys longer distance.
• It works well when obstructions are present.
